New Discussion Paper: The Unitive Science of a Living Universe
An emerging scientific convergence toward a relational, in-formational and participatory understanding of reality
We’re delighted to share a newly released discussion paper from the Club of Rome by Dr Jude Currivan, Associate member of the Club of Rome and co-founder of WholeWorld-View.
The Unitive Science of a Living Universe brings together developments across cosmology, physics and systems thinking to explore a growing scientific convergence: that reality may be fundamentally relational, in-formational and participatory — not a collection of separate parts, but an interconnected whole.
Drawing on evidence ranging from quantum nonlocality to holographic models of the universe, the paper examines how this shift challenges the assumptions of separation that have shaped many of today’s social, economic and ecological systems. At a time of increasing global complexity, the paper offers a framework for thinking beyond fragmentation — pointing toward more integrated, participatory approaches to the challenges we face.
It also considers the implications of this emerging perspective — including the possibility that consciousness is not a by-product of the universe, but intrinsic to its nature — and what this may mean for how we understand our place within a living cosmos.
Framed as an invitation to further dialogue, inquiry and collaboration, the paper contributes to a wider re-examination of the narratives through which we make sense of reality and respond to the challenges of our time.
